K Deb 1.jpg (34396 bytes) Fine medals, shame about the hair.  Kevin and Debra Higgs with tracksuits covered in swimming and lifesaving awards. The trophies and medals were from a life saving competition in which we took part for the Bedford Modernian Swimming Club.
K Diver.jpg (26387 bytes) Kevin in full diving kit, practising at Robinson Pool, Bedford.  The diving pit is 12 feet 6 inches deep. The purpose of the training was to provide BHRA, Cranfield, a means of carrying out the research programme in the deep flume facility. It was too expensive to drain and refill the 250,000 gallons of water which it held when full every time.
Cricket 1.jpg (49370 bytes) Higgs family cricket team at Pavenham playing field.  A charity match between the Pavenham Cricket Club and the Higgs eleven earned £40 for Charity. It took place in late August or September 1984.
K Gun.jpg (46409 bytes) At Broomhills gun club, firing an over & under double barrelled 12 bore shotgun at clay pigeon targets.  Later that day I got to fire a 0.357 inch Smith and Wesson revolver in the indoor range.

Mini moke.jpg (40006 bytes) A triumphant return to the same villa in Albufeira, Portugal.  There has been a noticeable change in both personnel and rowdiness. The Ghetto blaster was put to good use at all hours of the day and night. The heavy metal echoed round the valley very nicely, thanks.
